Time stood still
Seven years, to be exact. But now, after a thorough renovation, the clock in the turret of The Bank is operational again.
Today, the people in Amsterdam can just look up to see exactly what time it is. Thanks to new technology that was added to the original timepiece, the time indication is highly accurate and reliable, and adjusted automatically to summer and winter time.
The reinstallation of the clock at the corner of Rembrandtplein and Amstelstraat is part of the extensive redevelopment of the former bank building. By the end of the first quarter, the activities for this project and the redevelopment of the Rembrandtplein will be completed.
