BOOKING.COM HEAD OFFICE MOVES INTO THE BANK
In the largest lease transaction to take place in the centre of Amsterdam during the past 5 years, Booking.com and Kroonenberg Groep have entered into a multi-year lease agreement for approx. 12,500 m² of office space in The Bank on Amsterdam’s Herengracht.
Booking.com, part of stock-exchange listed Priceline (Nasdaq: PCLN), will take these prem-ises into use as its head office as from 1 January 2012. The lease agreement in question concerns office space on the ground and first floors, as well as on the fourth and fifth floors. Alongside use of the main entrance, the company will have its own dedicated entrance on the Herengracht side of the building.
“As a successful city centre redevelopment, The Bank is highly suitable for our head office”, says Booking.com’s Rutger Prakke. “It has excellent access for our employees, both by car and public transport, it is located right in the heart of Amsterdam; the building is also characterised by extremely high levels of quality and sustainability.”
Booking.com B.V. is the largest supplier of online hotel reservations in terms of overnight stays booked, with in excess of 30 million unique internet visitors a month, in both the busi-ness and leisure segments. Thanks to the enormous growth undergone by Booking.com in the market, the company now employs more than 3,000 professionals at all its offices, of which some 850 work in Amsterdam.
