VAPIANO LEASES FLOORSPACE IN THE BANK
In January 2012, Vapiano Pasta Pizza Bar, an international chain of Mediterranean restaurants, will open a new location in The Bank on Rembrandt Square in Amsterdam. The new location, measuring circa 856 m², is Vapiano’s second in Amsterdam, its fourth in the Netherlands, and its 99th location worldwide.

The entire ground floor of The Bank, with a total of circa 7000 m² of space for shops and cafés/restaurants, has now been leased. Vapiano’s neighbours on the ground floor of The Bank include Marqt, George Deli U.S.A., Starbucks, AJAX and Wagamama. As a result, the goal of Kroonenberg Groep to make the ground floor of the building attractive and accessible to the public and to thereby strengthen the drawing power of Rembrandt Square has now been realised.

Recently, Booking.com also chose The Bank for its operations and decided to lease 12,500 m² of office space.

After a lengthy period of renovation and redevelopment spearheaded by Kroonenberg Groep, The Bank is now an icon in the historic city centre of Amsterdam.

In the transaction mentioned above, Kroonenberg Groep was advised by Cushman & Wakefield and HB Kroese Paternotte. Vapiano was represented by B&O Retail.
