Revitalization Rembrandtplein
Inspired by the redevelopment of the former ABN AMRO office, renamed The Bank, the urban district council for the city centre has decided to refurbish the entire Rembrandtplein.
This complete revitalization will provide the Rembrandtplein with an image of international importance. Priorities in the refurbishment project include the creation of a central public meeting place, improvement of the lighting, and the installation of high-quality street furniture. The overall expenses of this revitalization will amount to 3.5 million euros, and the activities will take up one year. During the first quarter of 2010, The Bank will be completed and the refurbishment of the Rembrandtplein will be rounded off as well.
